Crisis Line

"Caring and confidential"

The Crisis Line is a free 24-hour, 7 day a week phone support and referral service. Our commitment is to provide confidential and non-judgmental emotional support for those in need.

1-888-353-CARE (1-888-353-2273)

The PIN Crisis Line provides 24-hour care service to residents of the NORTH OKANAGAN.

1800SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433)

The PIN Crisis Line and five other members of the Crisis Line Association of BC answer a 24/7/365 provincial crisis line to support callers experiencing suicidal thoughts. Workers provide skilled suicide assessment, de-escalation, intervention, referrals, and short-term support.

310Mental Health Support (310-6789)

This service provides empowering emotional support, information for appropriate referral options and support relating to mental health concerns. This is the provincial 310 Mental Health Support line 24/7/365 and is operated by the Distress Line Network under the auspices of the Crisis Line Association of B.C.

How we can help

People call with a variety of concerns...

Emotional support, crisis intervention, depression, isolation, addiction concerns, family and relationship issues, grief, health concerns, abuse, mental health, sexuality, legal, financial, food and shelter, emergency services, youth and seniors issues. Individuals seeking referral options also call to find out what services are available in their community to suit their needs.

Our professionally trained volunteers provide up-to-date information and referrals including connection with Mental Health Emergency Services or 911 for life saving interventions. Our primary service area is the North Okanagan area (Revelstoke, Shuswap, Vernon and their surrounding areas); we also provide service to the whole catchment area of Interior Health Authority when our Interior Crisis Line Network partner's crisis lines are busy.

We gratefully acknowledge the Interior Health Authority  for their significant funding of the Crisis Line
