The Good Morning Program

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

How does someone become a Good Morning Program Participant?

Referrals can be made by family members, professionals or anyone wishing to be on the program. This is a voluntary program, if you know someone who may be interested, speak with them first to see if they feel it is something that they would like.

Are participants called every day?

The calls are made to suit the individual. Some people receive a call daily while others request specific days to be called, for example someone may find that they are more isolated on weekends

Can I pick the time when I want to receive my call?

If the time that you prefer is available we will accommodate your request. Most of the calls are made in the mornings. Calls can be made anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. If a particular time is not available we will work with you to try and find a convenient time.

Who calls me?

Trained volunteers make the Good Morning calls. They are wonderful caring individuals who are not intrusive but who will give you their ear, check to see how you are doing and ensure that you are safe.
